Brad Paisley
5th Gear

(Arista Nashville)

(Best rating is 5 Stars)

On album number five, West Virginia’s Brad Paisley continues to marry tradition with an edge rare in today’s country and he does it with style and wit.

Paisley is probably the only guy who can get the girl by declaring his desire to “kiss you way back in the sticks” and “check you for ticks”! He also knows to keep her he has to remember that “single red rose and a table for two”. People who pretend to be someone they aren’t online, guys who get manicures and guys who think they can out run Mr. Policeman are all welcome victims on 5th Gear. The Kung Pau Buckaroos return and this time Little Jimmy Dickens and Whisperin’ Bill Anderson welcome Vince Gill to the fold.

Brad Paisley balances humour and sensitivity with superior musicianship to consistently deliver albums that make you both cry - and laugh - in your beer.
