730 CKDM Wishes you the very best this Canada Day! On Wednesday July
1st, various communities within the Parkland Region will host Canada
Day events!
In McCreary, the celebration
begins at 7pm in Fletchers Park, with entertainment provided by the
Alonsa School Band, Myles Mowat, Ray Chupka, The Eldon Steppers, the
Gaudry Boys, (Go-dree), and for the kids see Tyron the T-Rex and an
inflatable bouncers and Ginny's Gang which is face painting and
games, free admission and free hotdogs, juice, coffee, ice cream for
everyone. And the evening will wrap up with Fireworks! Celebrate
Canada Day in McCreary this Wednesday July 1st staring at 7pm.
The Winnipegosis museum
invites you to celebrate Canada Day on the museum grounds; the
honorable Rosanne Wowchuck will be attending the event and will help
raise the Canadian Flag. There will be hot dogs and cold drinks as
well as a raffle draw and museum tours all afternoon! Celebrate
Canada Day in Winnipegosis this Wednesday July 1st between 1 and
3pm.
The Grandview Rec Commission will host Canada Day
Celebrations between 2:30 and 10:30 at Wilson Park, music provided
by the Intermountain Playboys, Lulu and the Tom Cat, the Chris
Barker Band and more! Enjoy Fireworks at 10:30! There will also be a
beer gardens and concession on site, with kids games, carnival and
25 cent bingo! Also enjoy baseball, horseshoes, and volleyball. Both
the Museum and the Swimming Pool will be all day! For more info call

Celebrate Canada Day in Gilbert Plains at Centennial Park,
with the opening ceremonies starting at 5pm, also enjoy boat races,
the kids water activities start at 5:30, the pork on a bun supper
with watermelon, cake and drinks starts at 6pm, and musical
entertainment and kids games starts at 7:30! And fireworks will wrap
up the days events at Dusk! Celebrate Canada Day in Gilbert Plains
at Centennial Park on Wednesday July 1st!
Come out to the Fort Dauphin Museum on Canada Day for the
Family Picnic. Enjoy wagon rides, games and entertainment. A pancake
brunch will be held from 11am until 1pm, and hot dogs and hamburgers
will be available from 1pm until 4pm. Admission is free. This event
is co-sponsored by the Fort Dauphin Museum and the Royal Canadian
Legion Branch #20 in Dauphin.
The Ethelbert Lions Club invites you to a Pancake & Sausage
breakfast on July 1st from 9 to 11 am at the skating rink. Celebrate
Canada Day with a pancake & sausage breakfast at the Ethelbert
Skating Rink between 9am to 11am.
In Minitonas there is a pancake breakfast between 8am and
10am and a Gymkhana presentation as well. For more information on

Roblin will host their Canada Day events in the Arena
Grounds, with a Pancake Breakfast starting at 9am along with the
Slow-Pitch Tournament. At 11am enjoy the opening ceremonies in
Currey Park, followed by the local talent stage between 11:30am -
11:30pm, featuring Scott Cornelius, John Melnick with his Gordon
Light foot Tribute show, the Mazur Family and more. Also enjoy the
all day kids games, food vendors, toonie swim at the pool between
1pm and 8pm, also enjoy the open horse shoe games and Beach
Volleyball between 3 and 5! And wrapping up the Canada Day events in
Roblin will be the Fireworks at 11:30pm.
In Swan River enjoy a loonie swim at the Kinsmen Pool between
12noon and 1pm, picnic in the legion park with free activities
between 1 and 5pm including kids games and activities, musical
entertainment, concession, carriage rides, slow-pitch tournament,
bochee ball, vintage car display, grandstand entertainment begins at
9:30pm, and fireworks starts begins at 10:30! Enjoy Canada Day in
Swan River.
In Benito, there will be a fireman's breakfast at the Fire
Hall starting at 8am, followed by a parade at 11am, ball tournament
begins at 12pm, along with a community garage sale, concession, beer
gardens, kids games, and activities, at 1pm take in the Gymkhana in
the Rec Complex. Wagon Rides between 3 and 5pm, supper between 5 and
7, and Bed's races start at 7pm, all day enjoy the Horseshoe games,
and Fireworks go at dusk! Enjoy Canada Day in Benito Wednesday July
