The South Parkland Healthy Child Coalition is hosting a Food and Fun Event in Dauphin, called Cook Together, Play Together, Learn Together.  This event will be held on Friday, February 23 and Friday, March 23, from 10 am to 11 am, at the Parkland Crossing Multi-purpose room.

It’s a program for an adult and/or caregiver and their pre-school-aged children, ages 3 and 4.  There will also be a storytime, healthy snacks, and games.

Walking Wednesdays are back at Credit Union Place in Dauphin! The Dauphin Rotary Club is sponsoring a free day of walking at the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Walking Track, at Credit Union Place, each Wednesday from October 4th to April 25th.

Jump-start your day by joining a walking group.  The Lions District 5M13 and Diabetes Canada have teamed up to offer 1-hour urban pole-walking sessions, with the Shoal Lake Communiplex Walking Group; the four weekly sessions start on Wednesday, February 14, at 9:00 am, at the Shoal Lake Communiplex, and runs until March 7.  Urban Poles for “Nordic Pole Walking” will be made available for those that wish to try.  For more information, call 204.365.6195.
