After giving up three goals against in the first period, Dauphin battled back to within one in the second to make for an interesting third. However with the game at 3-2 the RBC Cup host Terriers eventually broke through for three more markers to seal the two points.

Notching goals for the Kings Wednesday were Ryan Edevold (5) and Drake Bodie (5). Special Teams were a key factor in the tilt. The Kings were 1 for 4 on the Power Play and 4 for 6 on the Penalty Kill. Portage had two lengthy 5 on 3’s in the contest. They scored on one of them but the Kings killed off the other, which is impressive considering the strength of the Terriers man advantage units.
