The Dauphin Friendship Centre is hosting a bannock-making contest November 2.

Thelma Moar, program coordinator at the DFC, says those making the bannock will drop it off at the centre where they will plate it and serve it with soup. She says it must be plain, baked bannock and it has to be enough for 175 one inch pieces.

"The way that we're going to judge it is the public is going to come in, they taste their bannock and they vote on their favourite. That's how it will be determined who will be the winner."

Ten people are already signed up. You can still get a registration form at the DFC front desk.

Everyone is welcome to come for the judging at 6pm.
