Friends of Riding Mountain National Park is looking for volunteers to help at its ski loppet event this weekend.
George Hartlen, chief administrative officer for Friends, says depending on what you're doing, you may be standing still outside for a while, so dressing for the weather is important.
"You always want to dress for the weather, dressing in layers and making sure that, you know, you have things like the hot-hand packets to help with the hands and feet and such. But it's looking like this year's forecast is going to be about a -3 temperature as of right now so weather's going to be pretty fantastic for this year's event."
Friends of RMNP hosts the ski loppet in conjunction with the Riding Mountain Nordic Ski Club.
It runs on Saturday and is followed on Sunday by a Family Fun Day.
