After a presentation by Canada Bridge at today's RM council meeting, council has decided to close Parker Bridge.

 

Reeve Dennis Forves says the closure notices will be going up very shortly.

 

Greg Anderson of Canada Bridge told council most of the RM's bridges are in good shape, but the metal one have rust and he suggests getting a certified welder and a structural engineer to take a look. As for the Parker Bridge, he said he's not even comfortable walking over it and any water event will destroy it.
