Crown Royal Workers Reject Deal
Workers at a plant in Manitoba that makes Crown Royal whisky have rejected their employer's latest offer.

The strike at the Diageo facility in Gimli is now in its second month.

UFCW Local 832 president Jeff Traeger says once the strike hits 60 days, they'll apply to the labor board for an independent arbitrator to impose a deal.

The union says sticking points of negotiations include wages, pension, long-term disability coverage and vacation time.

Second Ebola Case Confirmed in Liberia
The effort to crush Ebola in West Africa continues to be an elusive goal.

A Liberian health official says a second case has been confirmed in the West African country months after it was declared free from transmissions.

Ebola has killed more than 11,300 people -- mostly in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
Flights Resume in Brussels
Brussels has taken a step toward returning to normalcy after last month's suicide bombings that killed 32 and injured 270.

The Belgian capital's airport airport has opened for the first time since the bombings.

But there were only three symbolic flights today, where normally there would be about 600.
Actor Who Plays "Bubbles" Denies Assault Allegations
The Canadian actor better known as Bubbles from the "Trailer Park Boys'' denies assaulting a woman in a Los Angeles hotel.

Mike Smith is charged with committing a misdemeanour offence and is out on bail.

Police haven't released details of the charge against Smith, but he has issued a news release saying he's innocent.
