Last night at the Division's general board meeting, trustees reviewed a number of division plans carried forward from the first term of the academic year.
Superintendent CEO of MVSD Donna Davidson reiterated the Division's continued focus on literacy and numeracy.
"With regards to our division plan literacy and numeracy will continue to be a focus... we had cohorts -- groups of teachers, grade level specific teachers together -- and we looked at numeracy and structural strategies, our goal is too support our educational classroom teachers, to build their capacity and strengthen their skill sets in the area of literacy and numeracy."
Other topics addressed at last night's meeting was the Division's Plan for Trustee Development, Student Transportation Services, and the MET School Feasibility Report.
