A not-for-profit group known as the Manitoba Riding for the Disabled Association, provides horseback riding lessons to kids with down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism and other conditions.

The association, run from Oak Bluff, 21 km southwest of Winnipeg, is at risk of losing a $15,000 grant, which could result in a loss of the three paid administrative positions with the group.

The Province would not confirm the cuts or plans to change the distribution of funds but that discussions about the next steps are ongoing.
