A build-up of materials is happening across Canada and the U.S.

An import ban in China has prevented recycling companies from sending certain materials there to be sold and broken down.

Some places have been burning piles of recycling that can’t be sent out.

CKDM has reached out to Ottenbreit Sanitation Services to see if this is impacting their operations within the Parkland and haven't heard back from them.
