The City of Dauphin and Mountain View School Division are in talks of building the lane next to second avenue northeast.

 

Bill Brenner, director of public works and operations with the city says they've sent several proposals to the school board, although nothing has been officially approved.

 

MVSD Secretary Treasurer Bart Michaleski says right now most buses pick up and drop off students on first street northeast, and the school board is concerned about traffic congestion on the busy street.

 

Both sides are optimistic about coming to an agreement.
