Neil Young promises to open his music archive for free on Dec. 1st. Young writes on Facebook that fans will be able to ``visit and experience every song I have ever released in the highest quality your machine will allow.'' It dates back to his first single released in Canada in 1963. Young's new album, ``The Visitor,'' will be released that same day.

Five For Fighting singer John Ondrasik was talking with musician Jim Brickman about how they didn't want to ``just want to regurgitate another Christmas song.''

They both had done work for military causes, so they decided to write a holiday song for them called ``Christmas Where You Are.''

Ondrasik says his work with the military has been rewarding, but people are surprised to learn he has no family connection to the military. He says after 9-11, he got letters from soldiers in Iraq telling him how much his song ``Superman'' meant to them and that sparked his interest in helping them. ``Christmas Where You Are'' is on Brickman's new album, ``A Joyful Christmas.''

The mayor of a town in Lithuania where Bono supposedly owns a shopping mall has invited Bono to visit it.

Alvydas Katinas, the mayor of Utena in northeastern Lithuania, says he wrote to Bono to invite him to see the Ausra shopping centre.

Bono was named in the so-called Paradise Papers, documents that detail tax dodging by multinationals and wealthy individuals.

According to the documents, Bono is a part owner of the mall due to low-tax investments in Malta. Katinas says Bono has never visited Lithuania and he could help promote the town.

Led Zeppelin's ``Immigrant Song'' is seeing a sales boost, thanks to the new ``Thor'' movie. Billboard reports 18-thousand downloads of the song were sold in the week after ``Thor: Ragnorak '' opened two weeks ago, compared to the previous week's sales of about two-thousand. The song is featured in the movie. ``Immigrant Song'' was featured in the movie's trailer that came out in April and it sold seven-thousand copies that week.

Carrie Underwood's broken wrist has cost her a home-state honour. The Oklahoma City Oklahoman reports Underwood was not inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame last night because she was unable to attend. Hall of Fame officials say Underwood will be eligible to be nominated again and will be considered for a future class. Underwood injured herself in a fall at her home in Nashville last Friday.

In just four days, Taylor Swift's new album has sold more traditional albums than any other release this year.

Billboard reports ``reputation,'' moved 1.05-million copies in the first four days after its Nov. 10 release. Before Swift released her album, Ed Sheeran's ``Divide'' was the year's bestselling album, with 919-thousand units sold. Number three is Kendrick Lamar's ``Damn.'' It has sold 842-thousand units.

Right on the heels of Billboard's report that her ``reputation'' album moved more than one-million copies in its first four days, we get word of a surprise she gave some fans in Tennessee. The Nashville Tennessean reports the superstar singer chronicled a run she made through a local Target store. She stopped by to pick up a few things, including that new album. She says she has a tradition of visiting the store to buy her album when a new one comes out.

The global hit ``Despacito'' was the big winner at the Latin Grammy Awards. It made good on all four of its nominations, including record and song of the year.

Singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi dedicated his awards to his native Puerto Rico, as did several other artists throughout the three-hour show, which opened with a moment of silence for the storm-ravaged island.

Among the arguments Meek Mills' lawyers are offering in their plea to get him out of prison is the fact that neither his probation officer nor a prosecutor thought he should go back to prison. His lawyers have filed an appeal asking for Mill's probation to be terminated. Last week, Judge Genece Brinkley sentenced Mill to two to four years in prison for violating probation in a gun and drug case. Brinkley cited a failed drug test, failure to comply with a court order restricting his travel and two other unrelated arrests. Because Mill is a celebrity, he's in protective custody in state prison, but the only housing for protective custody there is solitary confinement, according to the motion. On Tuesday, Mill's lawyers asked Brinkley to recuse herself from the case, saying she's overstepped her bounds as a judge. They say among other things, Brinkley asked Mill to remake the Boyz II Men song ``On Bended Knee'' and mention her in it.

Nothing But Thieves says they ``100 per cent deny'' allegations of sexual assault. The band says in a statement they were advised not to address false allegations that have circulated on social media, but they say they could not idly sit by.

They say the past week has been one of the most difficult of their career and add that ``being demonized and subject to so much hate over things that are false is incredibly upsetting.'' They are considering legal action. A Nothing But Thieves concert sponsored by the British magazine New Music Express was called off this week in response to the allegations.

Halsey says she needs to take a few days from her tour to gain her composure, but she's not saying what's wrong.

Billboard magazine reports Halsey stopped her concert in Calgary, mid-set, and the rest was cancelled. Wednesday's show in Edmonton was called off. Halsey apologizes on Instagram and says very few things in the world would make her stop a show. She promises to make it up to her Canadian fans. Halsey intends to be good to go for the Minneapolis concert tomorrow.

Mariah Carey is calling off the first few shows of her ``All I Want For Christmas'' tour because she's sick. She writes on social media she had the flu last week and now has an upper respiratory infection. The tour was supposed to begin tonight in Windsor, Ontario. While Carey does not state which dates are affected, her website indicates her next scheduled date is Nov. 27th in New York.

Melissa Etheridge has been fined 750-dollars and ordered to serve unsupervised probation for a misdemeanour charge of possessing marijuana. Etheridge's lawyer entered a guilty plea on her behalf Tuesday in Bowbells, North Dakota. She was arrested in August when her tour bus crossed from Canada into the U-S and investigators found marijuana on board.

KMOT-TV reports Etheridge's attorney says she intended to apply for a medical marijuana license in North Dakota. She has used marijuana to treat her breast cancer.

After Stone Temple Pilots got more than 15-thousand online applications to be their new lead singer, they went with a guy who did not apply that way. Jeff Gutt (GOOT) will be the new S-T-P singer. He's a veteran of the Detroit music scene and was the runner-up on the third season of ``The X Factor.'' Bassist Robert DeLeo heard about Gutt after playing a show with Hollywood Vampires and asked Gutt to try out. S-T-P auditioned more than 30 singers. Gutt says no one can fill the shoes of late singer Scott Weiland and he's not even going to try. He says S-T-P's songs deserve to be performed and he's honoured the band chose him to help. The new version of S-T-P will release an album early next year. Their first single, ``Meadow,'' is out now.

Carrie Underwood says she's ``doing great'' after having surgery on her wrist Tuesday. Underwood tweets all went well, even though she will ``be setting off airport metal detectors from now on.'' She gives a shout-out to the medical personnel, family and friends who she says have been taking great care of her. Underwood broke her wrist in a fall at her home in Nashville on Friday night.

Shoppers at Target in Nashville ran into a familiar face Tuesday night: Taylor Swift. She has a tradition of going to Target to buy her latest album. She chronicled the night of signing autographs and taking selfies on Instagram Stories. One man said he lives across the street and just came in to get pasta sauce and he ran into Swift. Another fan was near tears as she told a friend on the phone, ``I love Taylor Swift. Yeah, she's just out here shopping!'' Swift's album, ``reputation,'' came out last week.

Pharrell Williams has released a song that will not be heard again for a century, assuming the earth is still around. Williams debuted a new song called ``100 Years'' has been engraved on vinyl made out of clay in Shanghai this week. It will be locked in a safe that's vulnerable to water damage. If rising tides caused by global warming don't destroy the vinyl, it will be released in 2117. Williams says if humans as a species don't do something about climate change, ``We lose the track but we also lose the planet.'' What's the song about? Williams says it's a sarcastic postcard to climate change deniers.

Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry says a little piece of his soul was lost the day of bandmate Troy Gentry's death. Montgomery tells People magazine the September helicopter crash that killed Gentry was ``horrific'' and he will never get over it. Montgomery says years ago, they actually talked about what they'd do if one of them died, and they agreed to keep Montgomery Gentry going. Montgomery says he always thought he'd be the one to go first.

Linkin Park fans will be able to get a listen to the concert the band never got to perform in the U-S Linkin Park will release the ``One More Light Live'' album on Dec. 15th. It was recorded during their run of shows in early summer in South America and Europe.
