Tick-borne diseases have been prevalent in Manitoba, often attaching themselves to animals - dogs in particular.

President of the Parkland Humane Society, Marie Roels says the following signs could indicate whether your dog has been bitten or not. She added, if your dog is suffering from any symptoms such as diarrhea, the best and quickest thing to do is get the dog to the vet.

Exposure to ticks can occur during the months of April to November, with the nymphs being active in the late spring and early Summer.
