Bruce is also a freelance writer who previously penned a monthly column on Manitoba country music for the Ottawa based Country Music News. He's a frequent contributor to the Winnipeg Free Press with weekly CD reviews in Thursday's UPTOWN section and the occasional report on events like Dauphin's Countryfest. Brucehas been a juror for both the Polaris Music Prize and the Prism Prize (for videos) since the inception of the two awards. He's often a juror for FACTOR, CARAS (The Junos) and the WCMAs and CCMAs.
