Saturday is the day many people have been waiting for and that day is just about here. The Dauphin Kings host the Swan Valley Stampeders at Credit Union Place and it's an extra special game because it's "Ukrainian Night".

As people from the area have experienced in the past, the atmosphere inside the rink is amazing and that will be the case once again on Saturday.

"We're about 98% complete right now, we're just waiting for Friday and Saturday to come," said Ryan Rauliuk. "When you have great volunteers, it makes it a lot easier to get an event like this going. Everyone is really excited and I can't wait for things to get going."

When it comes to the game on Saturday, it's an important one. Swan Valley is right near the top of the standings and the Kings are red-hot and they're looking to climb up in the standings. However, even if you're not a hockey fan, there will be something for you and that's a guarantee.

"We try to change things so it doesn't become repetitive so even if you've been to the game before, things will be different," added Rauliuk. "For instance, we have the cabbage roll race, so we've stepped it up a notch here."

"We're basically rolling the cabbage down the ice, so that's super unique and it's going to be a good time," he continued. "You really do have to come to see it to believe it."

Tickets for the game are still available by heading to Ruff's Furniture in Dauphin. However, they are going fast. 250 tickets will be reserved strictly for Saturday and as of yesterday, less than 500 tickets were still available.

The price is just $5.00 and that gives you a chance to take part in so many activities throughout the evening.
