ACC President Mark Frison spoke at today's Dauphin Chamber luncheon about how the school is trying to make a difference across Manitoba.

Frison says seven program proposals have been made to the Province for the Parkland Campus, but so far, nothing is set in stone.

He can not say at this point what specific classes they are looking to add, but says they are for some pretty popular fields.

"We have program proposals in trades, things like electrical and construction, we have proposals for healthcare, and we have proposals for general studies, so a whole variety of things."

Frison is hoping to hear back on the proposals by May or June, and would make the new program announcements shortly after.

It would not be the first major announcement for the college this year; ACC recently announced that the practical nursing program will be returning this year for the third time, and the school will be the host for Brandon University's first year classes that start this fall.
