MUSIC NEWS: FRIDAY, JANUARY 23, 2015 MADONNA HACKER ARRESTED Madonna says she is ``profoundly grateful'' to authorities who helped with the arrest of an aspiring singer accused of leaking songs from her ``Rebel Heart'' album online. Israel's cybercrime unit has arrested 38-year-old Adi Lederman and placed him under house arrest. His lawyer says Lederman denies the allegations and believes there is not sufficient evidence for an indictment. The leak in December prompted Madonna to release six of the songs early as an E-P. ``Rebel Heart'' comes out in March. Police say Lederman stole songs from other musicians but did not name them. --- RIHANNA WINS T-SHIRT CASE ON APPEAL Rihanna has won her court fight over an unauthorized T-shirt. He will launch the ``Kick Up The Dust'' tour with his first performances overseas, starting in Stockholm, Sweden, on February 28. He brings the tour to the U-S March 22 with a show in Houston. Randy Houser and Dustin Lynch will be opening acts. Bryan will be the first country act to play Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville on July 11. He says he will bring the I-Q of Vanderbilt down for one night. Bryan will perform his last spring break show in Panama City, Florida, on March 11 and 12. The Recording Academy announced Wednesday that Usher and Miranda Lambert also will take the stage at the Feb. 8 show in Los Angeles.Common and John Legend will perform their Golden Globe-winning, Oscar-nominated song, ``Glory,'' from the movie ``Selma.'' Smith, Pharrell and Beyonce are the Grammy leaders with six nominations apiece. They will battle Beck and Ed Sheeran for the top prize, album of the year. MUSIC NEWS: MONDAY, JANUARY 19, 2015 GRATEFUL DEAD PLANS FAREWELL SHOWS The Grateful Dead will play a series of 50th anniversary shows, and that will be it for them. The surviving members of the Dead will play three concerts at Chicago's Soldier Field July 3-5. They say those will be their final performances. Soldier Field is the site of their last show with Jerry Garcia, who died a month later in 1995. Trey Anastasio of Phish and Bruce Hornsby will be guest musicians, as will keyboardist Jeff Chementi from Bob Weir's side project, Rat Dog. In keeping with their roots, the Dead will sell tickets through a mail order system beginning tomorrow. The show opened with Jennifer Lopez visiting her old neighbourhood and stopping at the building in the Bronx where she used to live. A man there asked who she is and when J-Lo told him, he seemingly had never heard of her. Former Idol contestant Adam Lambert sat in as a guest judge for absent Keith Urban. One of the highlights was Hollywood Anderson's audition. He's a subway singer and got his guitar at a shelter for homeless youth.
