Three curlers from Dauphin are now in a must-win situation at the Canola Growers Junior Provincial Championships.

Dauphin's Lawson Yates and Terron Stykalo and the rest of the Walter rink dropped their 1 vs 2 game this morning to JT Ryan, 8-6. Because they played in the 1 vs 2 game, the team still has another chance. They drop down to the semifinals this afternoon at 12:15. The game is against the Jordon McDonald foursome.

On the women's side, Dauphin's Lauryn Kuzyk is playing on the Zacharias rink. After finishing 6-1 in the round-robin, the foursome played in the 3 vs 4 game earlier today. They won that game 11-6 to set up a semifinal matchup with Shae Bevan and her rink. The Bevan rink beat the Zacharias rink, 7-5 in the RR.

"It's a pretty amazing feeling that we've gotten this far, I haven't played here in the last couple years so it's been a ton of fun," said Kuzyk. "I think we're all feeling really confident going into this next game. We know the Bevan rink is really good but we're confident in our abilities."
