Winnipeg college instructor and broadcaster, Stephen Vogelsang, charged in connection with bank robberies Medicine Hat Police Service

A former Winnipeg journalism instructor and television sportscaster was arrested in Alberta on two counts of robbery.

 

Medicine Hat police say 53-year-old Stephen Vogelsang is charged in two bank robberies last week.

Investigators say the same man entered the banks and demanded money, leaving each scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Vogelsang was a journalism instructor at Red River College from 2002-2011 and prior to that had worked as a sports anchor at what was then known as CKY-TV before becoming news director.
