MB Issues Wind Warning For Lakes Winnipeg, Manitoba and Dauphin

Manitoba Infrastructure’s Hydrologic Forecasting Centre reports that forecast high winds developing tomorrow afternoon have resulted in a high to severe wind-effect warning for the South Basin of Lake Winnipeg, the south basin of Lake Manitoba and Dauphin Lake.

 

Strong north winds are forecast starting this afternoon and all day Monday.

Wind speed and wave action could raise levels by as much as seven feet or more.

Property owners are advised to take precautions.
