Winnipeg Addiction Centre Faces Challenges

Plans for a new addiction centre in Winnipeg face some challenges.

A location in Assiniboia Oake, where the old Vimy Arena stands, is an ideal location for the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre.

The center would be around 25 to 35 thousand square feet with 50 beds to treat only men.

However a city councilor is objecting to the location and wants the property put on the market because he feels such a project could put the area at risk.
