Bill 34 Read for 2nd Time

To protect medical professionals from any legal or disciplinary action should they refuse to provide any assistance in dying, a proposed provincial bill is trying to be passed.

Bill 34 was read a second time last week and was created back in May.

A committee is asking the public to provide feedback on any concerns or support.

Groups like, Dying With Dignity Canada, are objecting to the bill because it doesn’t define what a health care provider’s obligations are in the matter.
