One more meeting to talk about merger of Vanguard and Catalyst Credit Unions on Thursday

There is one more consultation meeting in the Parkland before the vote to amalgamate both the Vanguard and Catalyst Credit Unions.

The meeting is being held at the Ukranian Parish Hall in Ethelbert on Thursday. Richard Dereniwski talks about why coming to these meetings is important for members.

“We talk about being sustainable in the future. The reason why we are doing it, the completion, the outside forces, the major banks, some inter-Credit Union completion has forced us to take a look at options. Scale has a tendency of making us begin able to afford to do the things that the younger people want in this world.”

To find out more information about the merger check out their website morecu2018.wordpress.com. Members can vote for or against the merger on November 21st.

Those wanting more information about the proposed merger of both Catalyst and Vanguard Credit Unions came out to the 2nd meeting last night. It took place last night at the rec complex.
