Student stabbed over laptop

A student at the University of Winnipeg is out of the hospital after getting stabbed on campus.

 

Last night just after 8, an incident happened with a man who came onto campus and got involved in an altercation with a group of students when he tried to steal a laptop.

Police say a student was sitting at a table when the man tried to grab his laptop.

When the student held on, the man grabbed a cellphone instead. He then stabbed the student in the upper body and walked away, according to police.

The injured student was treated for minor injuries and released.
