Parkland Libraries Hosting Book Readings From Sopuck

Dauphin-Swan River-Marquette MP Robert Sopuck will be doing some readings from his book "A Life Outdoors" this week.

The readings will take place tonight, tomorrow, and on Tuesday at the libraries in Erickson, Shoal Lake and Dauphin respectively.

The start times for all of them are at 7:00pm.

Sopuck says feedback from the book so far has been strong.

"The genesis of the book was I used to be the hunting outdoors columnist for the Winnipeg Free Press, and when I left that to go into politics I had to abandon the column. Enough people came up to me over the ensuing couple of years saying that they missed my column, so my wife and I decided to compile what we thought were some of the best into a book. The response has been very good, people appreciate our way of life being described in the matter that I talk about it."

Sopuck says previous book readings in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Clear Lake have drawn between 20 to 40 people.
