No Land Of Plenty Celebration This Year

A new festival planned for Neepawa won't be taking place this year.

The Land of Plenty Celebration was to run this July 25th and 26th instead of the Lily Festival, which had its board dissolve in December.

A press release from the Land of Plenty Celebration committee says there was insufficient time to begin a new festival from the ground up and to establish a sponsorship plan.

Committee Chair Sheri Grant is thanking those who already committed to participate in this year's celebration.

CKDM does not know at this time if there is a plan for next year.
