Veselka Club Plans 40th Anniversary Celebration

The Veselka Ukrainian Dance Club has some big plans in store for their 40th anniversary.

Club president Charlene Gulak says the club normally has an annual spring recital, but they decided to change things up this year to mark the milestone.

"This year, we've decided to do a bit of a splash and have our concert in conjunction with a gala celebration. In addition to the concert, those who are interested can purchase tickets to attend a traditional Ukrainian meal for supper, and as well we'll have an evening celebration with a live Ukrainian music band."

Gulak says this celebration will recognize the success of the Veselka Dance Club within the local community and pay tribute to the years of service.

The celebration takes place on April 25th at the Grandview Kinsmen Hall.

Gulak says there has been a terrific response to this event within Grandview and Gilbert Plains, and there's only a limited number of tickets still available .

People can get tickets by contacting Charlene at (204) 648-3096, or contacting any other club members.
