Environment Canada is expecting temperatures to drop below 30 degrees with the windchill beginning tonight.
However, Warning Preparedness Meteorologist for Environment Canada John Paul Cragg feels these temperatures won't last long.
"It's been quiet a bit warmer then average this January in the Dauphin area, nine days with temperatures rising above zero as the day time high... we're moving into a colder period, so the beginning of February everything is switching up again and we're looking at temperatures starting off -- at least for the first week -- being below average for this time of year but those cold conditions might end next week."
Warmer temperatures last week allowed for snow and ice to melt in some areas across the Parkland.
