March In Support Of National Day Of Mourning On Sunday

The Dauphin and District Labour Committee is inviting the public to march with them on Sunday in support of the National Day of Mourning.

The National Day of Mourning is actually next Tuesday, but David Rehaluk, president of the Dauphin and District Labour Committee, says they're hoping to have more people turn out for a march on Sunday.

Rehaluk says they are marching to participate in the Day of Mourning and to make the public aware of an important issue.

The National Day of Mourning is held annually to remember those killed, injured, and those who have been ill due to workplace hazards or incidents.

Sunday's march begins at 1pm at the MGEU Building.
