Money For Some Parkland Carpentry Students

Assiniboine Community College Parkland campus carpentry students are reaping the rewards of their hard work.

$5,000 was given back to students today, which comes from the sale of a home they built.

$2,000 is typically given to the top student and the remaining $3,000 is split among the students who achieved at least a 70 per cent average.

This year, a first, the $2,000 was split between two students: Courtney McIntyre and Kurt Hunter.

ACC has partnered with Dauphin Consumers Co-op for the past seven years to have students and faculty build ready-to-move homes to sell in the community.
