The event dawned Nightmare on Elite Street is sure to excite anyone ranging from the biggest wrestling fan in the world, to someone who doesn't like wrestling at all.

"The headliner of the event is the Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff," said General Manager of CWE, Danny Warren. "He's doing his first ever Canadian wrestling tour and is one of the biggest stars of the 80's and 90's. He's one of the few to decline joining the WWF, so we're really excited to have him on the event, so with the Russian Nightmare coming to Dauphin, that's why the event is called what it is."

CWE will be doing 21 shows in 21 days, in five different provinces which includes their stop right here in our community.

"Dauphin has always been a really good wrestling town. Even when we did events back then, the people of the community really supported what we did and it was a really successful event," said Warren. " So now we're coming back and we are really looking forward to having a big crowd out there, and hopefully coming back in the new year."

Not only will this event feature Nikita Koloff, but Ring of Honor Stars "The Last Real Man" Silas Young and "The Octopus" Jonathan Greshman will be in attendance. New Japan Pro Wrestling Star & member of the Bullet Club "The Crown Jewel" Chase Owens will also be at the event to make it one Dauphin won't forget anytime soon. Ring of Honor is the second highest viewed wrestling company, just below WWE.

"It's an event I highly recommend checking out," said Warren. "It's stacked with all the guys we have. This is a top notch card that you will not get anywhere else in Canada.

Tickets for the event are as followed:

  • VIP First Priority Access & Meet & Greet - $22
  • General Admission - $17 in advance, or $20 at the door
  • Kids 12 & Under - $12 in advance, or $15 at the door

"We try to make it affordable for families to come out and enjoy the event," said Warren. "Our mission when we go out is to provide affordable entertainment to the community, and a big part of our business is family and children. We want people to be able to come out, buy some merchandise, maybe something to eat and not have to break the bank.

Canadian Wrestling Elite will be celebrating their 9-year anniversary in January, and as Warren mentions, things have changed a lot.

"It's a completely different company within the last five years," said Warren. "We took a step back for a while from touring, but now we are back on the road more then ever, and we are getting wrestlers from all over the globe, it's been super successful. We've created something that you can't see anywhere else in North America as far as the touring schedule."

Some of the wrestlers you get the chance to see on August 4, you may just see them in a few years wrestling in WWE as CWE is a stepping stone to the big leagues.

"These tours are a very good indication of which guys have what it takes and which don't," said Warren. "Some don't realize how much travelling it can be and how much of a grind it is, but then some just thrive and it's those guys who go on to do some special things."

Included in the event, will be a special ladies match among other things.

"Ladies haven't toured on CWE in about three years, so everyone is pretty excited about the ladies match." said Warren.
