INTERSTELLAR RODEO WINNIPEG ADDS MARGO PRICE AND WINTERSLEEP TO THE BILL.

LOCAL TALENT SHINES BRIGHT IN THIS YEAR'S INTERLUDE LINEUP.

Songbird. Thunderbird. Jailbird: Margo Price is one of the biggest stories in country music this year, with a new album, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, out on Third Man Records now, a recent performance on SNL and a history-making highest chart debut by any solo female artist. Price will play Winnipeg for the very first time on the Interstellar Rodeo stage.

Wintersleep is burning up the radio charts with “Amerika,” a new #1 single described by the Wall St. Journal as, “a big, bold song, revolving like a slow-motion tornado around huge guitars.” Wintersleep is a Juno-winning rock band from Halifax, NS that has performed on Letterman, among other triumphs.

This year’s Interludes include a number of incredible Winnipeg artists, including Begonia (a new solo project from Chic Gamine’s Alexa Dirks), electric Americana band Blond(e) Goth, Juno-nominee Del Barber and cowboy-meets-hip hop poet Leonard Sumner. The Interlude lineup is the place to look for new talent bubbling up in Western Canada: in addition to the homegrown faces, this year welcomes confessional songwriter Joe Nolan and country newcomer Sykamore both from Alberta. Toronto’s roots stalwarts NQ Arbuckle and piano boogie wizard, France's Henri Hebert, will also perform.
