TRAGICALLY HIP TICKETS

Tragically Hip fans will have another chance to grab seats for this summer's hottest ticket.

The band posted a message on its Facebook page saying that changes to the stage design have provided more audience space, allowing organizers to let additional concert-goers attend the sold-out shows.

They say tickets will go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time for each concert venue.

Each customer will only be allowed to purchase two tickets.

GARTH BROOKS GUITAR

Two Saskatchewan kids who were at their first concert on the weekend have one heck of a souvenir to show off.

Curren Wintonyk-Pilot, who is 12, and his nine-year-old brother Jayce were with their parents at a Garth Brooks concert in Saskatoon on Friday night.

The boys decided to send a message to the country singer and held up a sign from the sixth row that said: ``My first concert.''

Brooks acknowledged the sign during the show and during his encore gave each boy a guitar pick.

But that wasn't all.

Another moment later he handed over the instrument to Curren.

TRIAL BEGINS OVER AUTHORSHIP OF LED ZEPPELIN'S ``STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN''

``Stairway to Heaven'' goes on trial today in Los Angeles. The issue in question is whether Led Zeppelin ripped off the 1968 song ``Taurus'' by the band Spirit when creating ``Stairway to Heaven,'' released in 1971. ``Taurus'' was written by late Spirit guitarist Randy California, and his estate is suing for copyright infringement. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are expected to attend the trial. Because of the statute of limitations, any damages would be limited to sales from the past three years, as well as future sales.

CHRISTINA GRIMMIE'S FUNERAL EXPENSES WILL BE COVERED BY ADAM LEVINE

Adam Levine has offered to pay for the funeral for Christina Grimmie, the former contestant on ``The Voice'' who was shot and killed after a concert Friday in Orlando.

Grimmie's brother Marcus writes on Facebook Levine had called his mother personally. Levine spokeswoman Carleen Donovan confirms that Levine made the offer. Grimmie was on Team Adam on ``The Voice'' two years ago and came in third.  Authorities say the man who shot Grimmie appeared to have no personal connection to her. He shot himself after Grimmie's brother tackled him.

RINGO STARR URGES PEACE AND LOVE

Ringo Starr thinks the world is in need of peace and love more than ever. Every day on his birthday, July 7th, he asks for people to stop at noon local time to take a moment to ask for peace and love. Starr says he can't understand the mindset behind the shootings in Orlando on Sunday. He says he doesn't get how a guy could wake up and decide to cause a lot of hurt. John Lennon was gunned down in 1980 and George Harrison died of cancer in 2001, but for Starr, it was like losing his brothers. Starr says Harrison's illness was a bad way to go, but not as violent as ``the guy standing outside John's apartment block.''

CAGE THE ELEPHANT GIVE THE STORY OF ``TROUBLE''

Cage The Elephant threw in the line, ``The wicked get no rest,'' in their latest single, ``Trouble,'' just to see if you're paying attention. Singer Matt Shultz says he's always been a fan of writers who reference earlier work. ``Ain't No Rest For The Wicked'' was Cage The Elephant's first hit. Shultz says he wanted a rootsy rock feel for ``Trouble,'' which is why he came up with that ``woo-oo'' part of the song. Guitarist Brad Shultz says that part gives a communal feel and he knew right away that it would be a great singalong element.

NEW FOUND GLORY BASE BOOK ON THEIR POSTERS

New Found Glory are creating a coffee-table book about themselves. The 128-page book ``Stories of a Different Kind'' will tell their history through flyers, posters and short stories.

The band say when they first started, they would advertise their shows with a ``messy photocopied piece of paper.'' They say the book will tell a story that predates social media. The book comes out July 5th.

HEART, METALLICA AND NE-YO MAKE FOR UNEXPECTED COLLABORATORS

Metallica and Ne-Yo both had a hand in Heart's new album, ``Beautiful Broken.'' Metallica frontman James Hetfield contributes vocals and new lyrics to the title track, which is a remake of a bonus track from Heart's last album, ``Fanatic.'' Ne-Yo contributed the song ``Two'' to the album after Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson heard a demo of it used in a TV show that her husband was working on. She begged Ne-Yo to let Heart record it and Ne-Yo is a fan of the band. Heart remade several of their own songs on ``Beautiful Broken'' that they felt could be produced better or recorded in a different key. ``Beautiful Broken'' comes out July 8th.
