Kings set for rematch against Neepawa

The Dauphin Kings will make the short trip to Neepawa tonight, as they play in the back end of a home and home against the Natives at the Yellowhead Centre.

On Tuesday night, the Kings lost 3-2 against Neepawa in a back and forth affair.

"I was pretty disappointed in our start, I thought our work ethic lacked a lot," said Marc Berry, Head Coach and GM of the Kings. "We didn't get going the way we wanted to, but midway through the game, we adjusted well and started getting some pressure the right way."

Wednesday's game will be the Kings sixth preseason game, with just two remaining (September 15,16 against Virden).

"It will be much of the same tonight," said Berry. "We'll get some of the guys that sat last night back in the game. We play four games in five nights, so we're trying to rotate some guys and obviously, we're still evaluating some guys as they try to crack the roster this year."

Puck drop tonight is set for 7:30.

Look ahead

The Kings will return to the CUP on Friday evening, as they kick off a home and home with the Virden Oil Capitals.

On Saturday, the Kings will be in Virden, and you can hear that game on 730CKDM with Darnell Duff. Pregame is set for 7:20, puck drop is 7:30 at Tundra Oil & Gas Place.
