Bombers defence comes up big in 29-9 win!

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are now 9-3 after beating the Ottawa Redblacks on Friday evening, 29-9 at Investors Group Field.

It was one of the best defensive performances of the year for the Bombers, who gave up just three points in the games first three quarters as they led 22-3 after 45:00.

From there, it was cruise control as the Bombers outscored the Redblacks 7-6 to earn the solid victory.

Matt Nichols threw for 319 yards in the game while Andrew Harris was consistent on the ground, rushing for 83 yards on 11 carries.

Through the air, it was the Darvin Adams show, as he recorded 195 yards over seven receptions.

The Bombers next game is against Edmonton, at Edmonton on Saturday, August, 30 and you can hear that game right here on 730CKDM as we are a proud member of the Blue Bomber Radio Network.
