The Kings (0-2) are coming off two losses against the Virden Oil Capitals over the weekend in which they were dominated 10-3 on Friday, before bouncing back to put a much better effort forth on Saturday, in a 6-4 loss.
The Kings offence so far is led by Captain, Brendan Arnold who has three points through two games, while Ryder Richmond joins Arnold, also with three points.
Gilbert Plains Riese Gaber has two so far.
The Blizzard (2-0) on the other side of the ice have been a team of headlines in the past couple years.
Last year, word got out that they may have to fold, that didn't happen, then they went all the way to the MJHL Final, and now they enter tonight's game as the eighth best team in Canada, as per the CJHL weekly rankings.
The Blizzard are led by Tony Apetagon (2 points) and Daniel Chartrand (2 points), while Lantz Hiebert also has two points so far on the campaign.
Tonight's game will be the first of three straight on the road for the Dauphin Kings as they will hit Steinbach and Winkler this weekend on Friday and Saturday respectively.
Puck drop tonight is set for 7:00 at Gordon Lathlin Memorial Centre.
