Kings kick off three game road trip with loss against Blizzard

The Dauphin Kings kicked off a three-game road trip on Tuesday in The Pas, and it resulted in a 7-3 loss against the Blizzard.

1st Period

OCN kicked off the scoring just 5:44 into the game to take a 1-0 lead.

Not long later, Riese Gaber scored his third goal of the season to tie it at one.

OCN regained their one-goal lead to take a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes.

2nd Period

Riese Gaber scored his fourth goal of the season to tie the game at two early in the second, but for the remainder of the period, it was all Blizzard as they scored two goals in a row to take a 4-2 lead after 40.

3rd Period

In the third period, OCN opened up the scoring to take a 5-2 lead, before Wilson Northey brought the Kings back within two with a goal of his own.

That's as close as the Kings would come, however, as the Blizzard would tack on two more goals for a 7-3 win, and their third in a row.

Game Facts

Dauphin outshot the Blizzard, 40-38.

More

The Kings once again hit the road on Friday to begin a two-game weekend road trip as they take on Steinbach and Winkler on Friday and Saturday respectively.
