RANGERS PLAYER REVEAL: Rory Campbell

When the Parkland Rangers kick off their season on Friday, Swan River's Rory Campbell will be there.

Rory is one of two goaltenders to make the squad out of training camp.

"I find it a really big honour," said Campbell. "I take it really seriously."

Rory played one game last season with the Rangers and had a 3.77 G.A.A.

"This year, I'm expecting a really good year," said Campbell. "We have a couple of young guys coming up, and a lot of veterans returning. I believe we have a good chance of making playoffs, and maybe even go a little while in the playoffs.

Just like the whole team, Campbell is fired up for the home opener against the Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday.

"They have a really talented squad," said Campbell. "But so do we, and I believe we can compete with them all year."

Campbell notes the most exciting part about the upcoming season is just getting between the pipes, hanging with his teammates and having a fun time.

Fun Facts About Rory

"My dad owns a construction company, so I like helping him around the shop," said Campbell. "I'm really into school, so I work hard there and I try to get some really good grades."
