RANGERS PLAYER REVEAL: Kevin Chrisp

With just one day before their home opener, it's time to reveal another player on the Parkland Rangers squad, and that is Kevin Chrisp.

Kevin will enter the month as a Special "AP" meaning he can practice and play games with the team, in hopes of cracking the full-time roster.

"It mean's a lot," said Chrisp. "Especially knowing that I'm 15 and in my first year of eligibility. I'm just going to show my work ethic, and give it my all every shift."

Just like his brother Darrin who made the team, Kevin also took part in the Dauphin Kings training camp earlier this month, and despite being much younger, and smaller than several players, he stood his ground.

"That helped a lot," said Chrisp. "It gave me a lot of confidence. I wasn't scared playing with the older and bigger guys on the ice."

As he gets older, bigger and his skill increases, Chrisp has goals of where he wants to end up.

"I would like to play some MJHL hockey," said Chrisp. "Then I want to go play NCAA hockey."

Kevin and the rest of the Rangers kick off their regular season tomorrow evening against the Brandon Wheat Kings at 7:30 at Credit Union Place.
