RANGERS PLAYER REVEAL: Isaiah Weedon

Today is the day that the Parkland Rangers kick off their season on home ice, and when they do, Isaiah Weedon will be there, as he made the team as a "Special AP"

"It's a pretty good feeling," said Weedon. "You come out to try out for a team, and you expect to make it, so it feels good to get a spot as an AP."

Weedon knows being an AP doesn't mean he has a full-time spot on the roster, but he does know how he can get one.

"You just have to make the right play as often as possible," said Weedon. "You just have to take it shift by shift, and get it done out there."

Prior to this year, Weedon spent two seasons playing in Winnipeg, for the Winnipeg Hawks and Winnipeg Sharks. In 2015-16 he played for the Hawks Division Two team, before moving up the next year to play with the Winnipeg Sharks Division One team.

"It's all about developing," said Weedon. "That's why I play hockey. It's all about getting better than you were before, so I think it's going to be good for me to have that chance, and hopefully, it's just a successful year as a team."

The Rangers play their home opener this evening at 7:30 at Credit Union Place.
