Kings set to battle with the Pistons

When the puck drops on Friday night In Steinbach, the Dauphin Kings will look for their first win of the season against the Pistons.

Offence hasn't been the problem for the Kings so far as they've scored the sixth most goals in the league (10), but defensively, they've allowed the most goals (23).

"We have to be on our toes," said Head Coach and GM of the Kings, Marc Berry. "If we want to have any success this weekend, we need to play hard and with structure. It's going to be a really good test for our team."

Tonight's game is the first of a two-game trip for the Kings which sees them take on the Winkler Flyers tomorrow, and despite the slow start, the team is together 100%.

"It's only September," said Berry. "The guys are all jelling really well, we're not in any panic right now being it so early."

The Kings return home early next week to take on the Portage Terriers on Wednesday night at Credit Union Place.

Puck drop tonight is set for 7:30.
