Rangers lose home opener, 4-0

The Parkland Rangers took part in their home opener on Friday night, and despite a spirited effort, they lost, 4-0 against the Brandon Wheat Kings.

The Rangers outshot the Wheat Kings 36-30 in the game and had several fantastic opportunities to score, but at the end of the day, it was the Wheat Kings goaltender who shut the door time and time again.

The Rangers ended up going 0-6 on the powerplay, while Brandon was 2-6.

The Rangers are back on home ice on Saturday evening as they take on the Interlake Lightning at Credit Union Place.

Puck drop is set for 7:30.
