Dauphin's Stratuliak heading to Calgary for Team Canada U18 Rugby Tryouts!

Dauphin's Kaila Stratuliak is heading to Calgary to take part in the Under-18 Rugby Canada Team tryouts this weekend.

A select group of athletes was chosen to take part in the tryouts from the Canadian Rugby Championships that took place in July in Calgary. A last-minute injury held Stratuliak back from participating in the Championships, but she was still chosen to take part in the tryouts this weekend.

"It means a lot that they picked me even though I was injured," said Stratuliak. "It's a big opportunity for me to get a chance to take part in the tryouts."

Stratuliak will depart Dauphin this morning, and the tryouts will take place tomorrow and Sunday.

"It's really exciting," said Stratuliak. "It's going to be great to get the chance to play with some of the best around Canada, and overall it's going to be a great experience."

Stay tuned here to 730CKDM to see how Kaila does over the weekend.
