In just his second game as a Dauphin King, Kitchen made 29 saves as the Dauphin Kings blanked the Stampeders, 2-0.
In a back and forth first period, the Stamps had several great chances, but Kitchen was up to the task each time as after 20, the two teams were scoreless.
The Kings opened the scoring 5:09 into the second when Kyle Oleksiuk drove hard to the net and shot a puck, which Grady Hobbs picked up near the goal line and did the rest as the Kings took a 1-0 lead.
The Stamps would stay on it offensively, but they couldn't solve Kitchen as the Kings led, 1-0 after 40.
Both teams had several chances in the third, including a breakaway from the Stampeders, but Kitchen stood tall again, and late in the game, Gaber scored his seventh of the season to cap it off.
The Stampeders outshot the Kings, 29-25.
