Trojans and Clippers ready to battle

The Dauphin Clippers JV girls are set to head to Gilbert Plains this evening to take on the Trojans in an exhibition volleyball match.

"Our JV girls are pretty structured and disciplined," said Jeremy Lehman, Head Coach of the Trojans team. "They know we don't have many tournaments throughout the season, so they know we have to take exhibition games pretty seriously, so we can get ranked come provincials."

Tonight's game is the first of a two-game set between the Clippers and Trojans with the next match being next Wednesday back in Dauphin.

"Once we learned that we would play Dauphin, the girls were pretty excited about it," said Lehman. "Especially because a lot of them know girls on the other team. It's been a long rivalry, so yeah, they're pretty excited about it."

First serve tonight will hit the air at 5:30 at the Gilbert Plains Collegiate Institute.
