So far so good for Liwiski in Everett

Dauphin's Mark Liwiski is loving every moment of his first year in the Western Hockey League with the Everett Silvertips.

"It's pretty unreal," said Liwiski. "We just got back from a two-week road trip through Alberta and BC. It's awesome."

Liwiski is continuing to train hard to get in the lineup every day, as he has been a healthy scratch in several games this season.

"It's hard because you have the older guys, and as a 16-year-old, I'm always itching to get in the lineup," said Liwiski. "I just have to keep working my butt off in practice and workouts, and just prove to the coaches that I deserve to be in the lineup."

Liwiski notes it's been a tough transition with all the traveling.

"It's for sure different, but I'm not complaining at all," said Liwiski.

The Silvertips lost a battle, 3-2 against Tri-City last night.
