Grandview's Pulock impressive in season debut!

It was a long time coming, seven games to be exact for Ryan Pulock to be inserted into an NHL game this year, but when he was on Thursday night, he certainly made a case to remain in the lineup going forward.

For the six games prior to Thursday, the Grandview native has been a healthy scratch but was called upon to suit up on Thursday with one of the reasons why being the Islanders extreme struggles on the powerplay.

Coming into the game, the Isles failed to score a PP goal, but that changed 2:40 into the game on Thursday night when Pulock set up Anders Lee in which he put the puck in the back of the net as the Isles took a 1-0 lead, and scored their first goal on the PP this season.

The Islanders eventually went on to win the game, 4-3 in a shootout.

Pulock played the most time on the PP of any Islander defender, finishing with 3:18, a full 1:05 more than his fellow defender, Nick Leddy.
