Clippers pummel Trojans, 18-3

The Dauphin Clippers kicked off their Westman High School Hockey League regular season on Friday night at Credit Union Place, and dominated the Major Pratt Trojans, winning 18-3.

1st Period

The Clippers scored early and often in the first 20, as they led 7-2.

Ty Hassel and Wade Kopytko led the Clippers offensively both with two goals in the period.

2nd Period

The Clippers tacked on six more goals in the second while the Trojans scored 1, as the Clippers led, 13-3 after 40.

Riley Hammond scored two goals in the period to record a hat-trick, as did Wade Kopytko.

3rd Period

Riley Hammond scored again in the third as the Clippers scored five more times to secure a dominating, 18-3 win.

Game Facts

The Clippers outshot the Trojans, 44-34.

More

The Clippers are next in action next Friday at Credit Union Place against the Swan Valley Tigers.
