Bombers Struggle in Loss against Lions

If news around Winnipeg could get any worse, perhaps it did on Saturday, as not only did the Winnipeg Blue Bombers lose 36-27 against the BC Lions, but they also lost Matt Nichols.

Nichols left in the first half with a leg injury and did not return and not much more information has been provided on his status.

Now yes the Winnipeg Blue Bombers put up 27 points, but this game can't be chalked up to a good offensive performance, in fact, it was all but.

Special teams held the Bombers in this game, but in the end, it wasn't enough to steal a game as the Lions spoiled the Bombers parade.

With the loss, the Bombers are now 11-6 but can still clinch second in the West with a win next week against the Stampeders.
